Last summer drank liquid cocaine here for the first time (espresso, vodka, sugar). Crazy, but we are absolutely thrilled. This is a shot that will get you through the evening! The service was good too.

Super delicious food, nice service, pleasant atmosphere. Also suitable for larger groups (6 and more people). For the price: very humane prices (I had a main course, two drinks and a dessert for about 20 €) Only the music was a bit too loud to entertain. Otherwise everything was great

Really nice place for a happy hour. The food is very good and the waiters take care of details like placing the glass with the brand logo to your side. Highly recommend to make a reservation.

In my opinion one of the best taverns/bars that serve Bavarian food and drinks.One of the highlights is the fresh draft beer. The place is generally very crowded, also around the bar. If you wish to have food or want to visit with larger groups, you should call upfront and make a reservation. The name "Trumpf oder Kritisch" comes from a Bavarian card game called "Watten". Therefore it is not uncommon, that they play cards at the smaller tables. The waiters and barkeepers are very professionell and friendly. You will find a very good atmosphere in a sometimes very loud environment - but this is due to the huge amount of visitors. If you are in or close to Schwabing, it's worth visiting this beautiful place. Even if you just would like to have one or two beers. Verdict: Excellent quality and service.

I have already spent many fun evenings there, the staff was mostly great. Modern Bavarian cuisine, the dishes have always been excellent and there is Augustiner beer fresh from the wooden barrel. The place can be very busy and noisy on weekends, not necessarily for someone who prefers quiet.

So-la-la. Very friendly staff, ok food, and a good atmosphere - depending on the mood of the day. Ive had really great experiences here, I've had really bad experiences here. But more good than bad!

Nice bar with kind waiters, large tables, good beer and nice atmosphere. Prices are ok and service is fast. Maybe too fast. We sat for a beer, one minute later we already got a beer, we didn't even specify which one.

Very friendly staff. Fast service. Good selection of Bavarian home cooking. For me the best roast pork I've eaten in a long time. For dessert there was an apple strudel with vanilla sauce, which I also found very good. My only criticism is that a large part of the menu consists of cold dishes. However, I prefer not to eat very good food. I will definitely come again.

German beer and food

Didn't eat but smell of food was too good to be true

It is an average bar but the attitude of the very rude staff made me hate it. I would definitely not go back there. The waitress was rudely pushing us to order more drinks although some people from our group were drinking. The barman was also rude.

Young, well-lit, relaxed pub. Its not dark, smokey or stinky, with equal numbers of men and women. Its popular, always people here.

So we were there with some friends from USA, the evening from 01/09 to 02/09, (bc we know there are always different bartenders) and they were so unfriendly and even -Racist-. We have been in so many countries, lived in Germany for about 10 years and the service here was the worst. Very sad, they made a very bad impresion about Germans and about Munich. That evening were two guys (one germen guy and one from Iran as he say, and what an irony) and a german girl for the service there, we wanted to trink water beside our beer and food (very common in USA) and as our guests wanted we asked for some extra water, they make it so difficult and even if, we meant to pay for it.

the food is very good, if you want german food this is the best place! It also has food of all kinds! it's a good place to take friends

This is still my favorite place for a Weinschorle and a nice place to sit outside in the summer but it has gotten really crowded in the past few years and the food menu does not have good options as it used to, in the past.

Liked this bar... close to Münchener Freiheit, has a good selection of cocktails. Its a good idea to book a table beforehand since it gets crowded, specially on weekend evenings!
